Do eyeglass lens for astigmatism look the same as regular lens to correct myopia or nearsightedness? My doctor prescribe me astigmatism lens for my left eye its -0.25x085, and i'm wondering if its going to appear thicker, or have a different look to it. Can someone help? thanks.

  3. It will look normal. You will be surprised at how well you will see with it and how good it looks.

  4. No, it will look like any other lens...that won't make any difference in the appearance.

  5. It will look the same as a normal Rx.  Astigmatism is only a specialised version of short or long -sight.

And you only have a tiny amount anyway.  The 85 is not a big number, it's only a direction in degrees.

    -0.25 x 180 is no thicker than -0.25 x 5.
