Question:

Eyelid Problem... Help...?

A few months back my right lower eyelid swelled up for no reason and after it went down a bit I noticed a small 'air bubble' type thing on the inside of the eyelid (about the size of a match-head). My eyelid has just recently swelled up again and the inner lump thing is still there. It looks a pale white in colour but doesn't hurt. What could it be? Do I need to go to my GP or should I go to some eye specialist place?

  1. Hi, I think you either have a small sty or eye ulcer. If you try optrex eye freshener and this relieves the problem, it could be that you are working in a dusty or pollen soaked atmosphere. I would first recommend going to GP as they are the specialists in this field.

  2. Go to your doctor . Without looking at it noone on here can diagnose your problem . Good luck

  3. Go to your doctor first for the best advice. All you get on here is second rate advice.

  4. Go to your GP.  if you need to see a specialist he will refer you but it might just be an infected eyelash or tear duct.  I had an infection in my lower eyelid once and had to clean it with drop of baby shampoo on a cotton bud, it worked a treat!

  5. i have the same thing. the swelling and the little bubble. just yesterday i was talking to a doctor and he said that it is just a little blood collection in there and it can easily be removed with a tiny incision. i'm gonna go have it done next week.

    it's nothing dangerous though.
