  1. thats neat i need an eyeliner tattoo i have a blue and green tearslash(almost 4in.long 2in. wide under my left eye would it look cool for a guy to get 1

  2. I've done permanent makeup on a few women, and they all love it, they have told me to tell future clients to make sure they pick a fairly neutral color, to make sure it goes with most of your gear.

It hurts though, just so you know,

  3. i dont have it, but makeup tattoos are pretty common. those people like it.

and to lannyfanny, people can get tattoo ink injected INTO their eye...

    see: http://www.2dayblog.com/images/2008/febr...

  4. just dont do it, please. i know a girl whose done it, and its horrible. it never changes, just the same stupid black eyeliner every day. makes me want to punch her in the eye. needless to say, no i dont like it.

  5. LOL lannyfanny... My Aunt got that done 20 years ago. Its eyeliner. How does it go "out of style" isnt there a thing as PERSONAL style? Hers was along time ago so it was blue like prison tat blue haha. but she got it done at a profession tattoo shop. She said it hurts but whatever. If you want it the pain is doable. Lots of artists do it. And its not a big deal. I do not know why she made such a fuss. She got it 20 years ago btw, and it still looks fine. Just get it done in a good color. Not blue! unless you like blue. She does not, and puts black over it. She said she doesnt wanna bother getting it touched up. she said she is old and doesnt care. She is about 45.

  6. no i dont have that and not many people do! and why would you want to... eye makeup styles change all the time... in 20 years people would be like ew...why does that girl still wear her makeup like that? and good luck finding an artist to do it...most wont because ,um, duh its on your eye!!!!

  7. One time my friends spread and faded and now it looks like a bad eye liner job.  It will look terrible when you are old (like 50).  Best not to do it.

  8. i dont have it, but my artist does eyeliner tattoos all the time. Most of them are tiny black lines-they usually dont do anything too thick. She actually has hers done too. It looks good. But it can fade after time and needs to be retouched.  She said it isnt very painful either.

  9. I have had my eyeliner tattooed since I started my tattoo business 17 years ago - it is still there exactly as it was put on - a soft black and very modest - it has never been touched up although many people like theirs crisp and defined so if that is the case it will need some maintenance here and there.  It is great for running out the door without mascara, etc., when it is done the right way.

The artist has to know how to get it well into the lashes and not use funky colors - they don't hold up well over time no matter what they tell you. Never have it applied too heavily on the bottoms - that is what really looks bad, especially when it ages. Never have it rimmed in the wet tissue.

As far as color goes, really, black is the best choice there and it looks the best on everyone unless they are a brown-eyed blond - then brown is needed.  Black makes blue and green eyes pop and makes the white of the eyes look whiter.  It can be diluted to a gray to make it look softer - don't let them give you "charcoal" because it has white in it and that should never be used on delicate eye tissue - it does not age well. Most times browns enhances the red in and around the eye.

Never get this done in unsanitary places like nail salons!  You cannot risk an eye infection.  Be sure to see their portfolios and that you like the work - never let them close the outer corner or go too close to the inside - that is how the ink migrates - it does not belong in that tissue there.

Still want it?  Of course you do - we have two of us in my studio that do the cosmetic tattooing and we are booked out at least two months in advance - many people want it!
