Question:

Eyepiece suggestions needed

I am looking for a finder eyepiece in the neighborhood of $100. So far my top two choices are the Orion Q70 and the Antares Classic Erfle, both are 32mm with a 70 degree apparent field of view. I am using a fast scope so I know I am in for some aberration with either, but is either a significantly better eyepiece than the other? Is there another series of eyepieces I should look into?

  1. Meade Research Grade.

  2. http://www.oriontelescopes.com

Orion fan here.  I like their Sirius line best for value and quality.

    Edit:

Last night I looked at the Q70 in my latest catalog.  VERY nice!  Yes, that would be an excellent choice.

  3. in that price range there is very little difference.

they're probably the same eyepieces anyway. lots of stuff is made by synta then sold by other companies (including orion and antares) under their own brand name.
