This is a question on my Biology worksheet. We need to figure out how reptiles camouflage. I cant seem to find how they keep predators from seeing their eyes though.

  1. ampibians  have eyes that can retract backward into their skull but its mainly a reflex action like when u shut ure eyes when something comes towards u.

amphibians also protect their eyes with more than one membrane across them, it protects against foreign particles and from loss of moisture.

amphibs also have eyelids but they come from the bottom up

reptiles sometimes have spines or hard scales just above their eyes, some of the eirlier reptiles such as the dinosaur tricerotops had two horns above its eyes for protection

reptiles also have membranes like the frog.

  2. For many of them it has to do with the color or patterns that their eyes carry.  Most of them have various patterns and different colors to help break it up.  However that does not apply for all species.

Take a look at the following examples, it might help.
