Question:

Eyes slighty red and sore for over 6 months - what could be wrong?

I've been treating my eyes for 'dry eye' with drops and for blespharitis by cleaning my eyelids twice a day. I've been doing this for over 6 months now. My eyes aren't intensly veiny or sore - but they do sting and there are lots of veins when compared to 6 months ago.

Given that the symptoms are so subtle I've been finding it really hard to get a good diagnosis. They can be very uncomfortable at times tho and would love my normal eyes back.

Symptoms are most severe early in the morning where my eyes are very read (although there is no 'gunk' or anything associated with pink eye)

What do you think could possibly be wrong with my eyes?

Thanks.

  1. Slight Conjunctivitus :) i get it freguently. It can be passed throught contact with face towels an infected person has or make up but don't worry it's easily treated with eye drops consult your doctor  about it again good luck

  2. It could be an infection caused by wearing contacts too much.  Or it could be minor conjuctivitus.  See your optomitrist.
