  1. Contact lenses are prescriptive devices and must be fit to your eye.   They are not one-size-fits-all.  It is very likely that they do not fit correctly.  Other issues include sensitivity to the material (as you suggested), and sensitivity to solution.  Your best option is to quit wearing them and go to the doctor for treatment and a proper fitting.

  2. Did you get them from a doctor? If not, you could be causeing your self some really bad problems and injuring your eye. You need to see an eye doctor.

  3. Make sure to use wet drops before and after you put the contacts in. Also, you can keep rewetting your eyes throughout the day as needed.

But first, don't wear your contacts at all for a few days until your eyes heal completely.

Also, keep in mind that contact lenses need to be kept clean every day you use them. There are special solutions you can buy just for that purpose. Otherwise, you can get a realy bad infection.
