Eyeshadow dilemma...?

Question

I tried black eyeshadow and I really liked the way I looked in it although I think it's a bit too much for going out with friends and parties and stuff. When should I wear it?

And what do people generally think of people in black eyeshadow? First impressions and such?

I LOVE black eyeshadow!

Being able to pull it off is a huge plus too - not many people can do it!

You can wear it anywhere really. With trends now days, you could even pull it off wearing it in the office, so long as you're dressed professionaly. I generally wear my hair up (like my avatar) when I do black eyeshadow, that way there isn't too much going on.

Wait until winter if you're really concerned - colder months you can totally pull it off!

first impression would depend on how much you are using.  if it's just a little like to do a smoky eye, then hot.  if it's a lot like your whole eyelid, then goth.  

yea, a party would be the place to do this, def not work or daytime

I prefer a sultry gray. But, I also think black is fine because YOU like the way it looks.You will radiate s*x, mystery, etc. I think nighttime is a great time to wear it. But certainly not in the daytime as it will be too overpowering. I believe people have no stereotypes about black eyeshadow. And, if they do, who cares? They must be boring. It's all how you wear it. If you come across as confident, great. But if you are going to worry all night about the black, build up to it slowly: dark, darker, darkest. What fun!

I would only wear black eyeshadow for going out with friends on a Friday night.  :]  If you wear it anywhere else though people might assume that you are goth or emo.  (which is really stupid... people just think like that though)  Try wearing silver eyeshadow if you want to go out during the day or to something a little more casual.  You get the same look it's just a little lighter.
