Question:

Eyeshadows to open up my brown eyes?

I have heard about using white eyeliner to help make your eyes look bigger. I am going to try to apply it in the inner corners of my eyes,(tear duct area), and the outer corners of my eyes. I would like some help in how I should wear my purple eyeliner to also help my eyes look bigger. And, does anyone know what eyeshadows would help open my eyes, and compliment their brown color? My eyelashes are not the problem, they are long, and the mascara helps open my eyes, but something more would be great. Thanks!

  1. light eyeliners maker ur eyes look bigger.

purple can make them look smaller.

purple, green and brown eyeshadow makes them pop.

but if you want a more natural look, use earth colors,

    brown,blue,green.

    =)

  2. ive heard that grey eyeshadow looks good on brown eyes

  3. to make your eye look bigger, you should always use light colors

and i think the white eyelinner it a gud idea

i wud prefer not put eyeliner on yer bottem eye, it will make it look more natural and bigger =]

  4. first of all get the cream eyeshadow kind. its a lot better than the powder kind. and i would get any color to match ur outfit. but i would have to say like bright spring colors like yellow, blue, purple, pink, orange, or red. good luck getting your colors!! =^)

  5. try using plum, taupe and white eyeshadows for your eyes.  Use the white eyeshadow for your brow bone, the taupe eyeshadow for the entire lid, and the plum eyeshadow for the accent color (around the eyeliner and the lower lashes as well).  If you want to use plum eyeshadow, use brown black eyeliner.  If you have dark brown eyes with black lashes, you would be better served using black eyeliner and black mascara...but if your features are more fair, then try using brown black eyeliner/mascara.  Hope this helps.

This vid should help you. Instead of applying white liner to the inner corners, use white shadow, and apply the white liner to the waterline.

You can do this look with browns like she does, or even with purples, you just need a light, medium, and dark color. Browns give a more natural look, but purple will make your brown eyes pop. If you do brown, use brown or black liner. If you do purple, use purple or black liner. To make your eyes look bigger, only apply your purple eyeliner to the top lid.

    Hope this helps!

  7. If you are going to use a white eyeliner, so it like they did in the 60's. Place a line of black, navy blue, forest green, or any dark color thinly along the lashline. Then immediately on top use a thin line of white all the way across. Also  I would recommend the Almay eye shadows for brown eyes. The really great thing about brown eyes is that nearly any color looks good.

I have brown/hazel eyes and I like to use lilac or light blue on the lid. The shadow that opens up the eye is placed between and up toward the brow. Good shaping of your brows will also light up your face as well. Try a little shadow under the eye at the ends in a light tone to open up the eye as well.

  8. I also have very dark brown eyes. I wouldn't suggest using colored eyeliner; I use black eyeliner (NOT WATERPROOF) that has a smudging tool at one end. Blues and greens open up my eyes. For some reason any shade of neutral browns or golds look absolutely terrible on me. I have to use some kind of color. You can find some neutral blues, teals, greens, or purples for day use, or brighter and darker shades for going out.

  9. Blue is a much better color for complimenting brown eyes. Purple is best on green eyes. Almay makes an eye shadow duo for specific eye colors. It works really well and can really make your eyes pop. As far as eyeliner goes, you want to put the white on your waterline (the inside of your bottom lash line). If your eyes are close together put eyeliner on the outside of you top lid and not on this inside. Vice versa if your eyes are far apart. Make sure the line is small and skinny and not too thick.

  10. purple shades also make brown eyes pop too...check out youtube for tutorials on eyeshadow for brown eyes :-)

  11. Brown eyleliner with purple, green, or brown eyeshadow. I promise.

    :)

  12. From a make-up artists point of view.... don't do the purple eyeliner... try a soft brown and instead of white liner use a white or light bronzy shadow for the tear duct. and for colour do some greens. they look AMAZING with Brown eyes, even if you don't like green play around with the different shades and i guarantee you'll like it. Be sure to use a  setting spray so the colours stay vibrant and clean all day.
