first of all, i just started to use a make-up and i want to start with learning some basic eyeshadows color...

I know that people will go 'try colors that will look good on you or try colors that will match your eye color whatsoever'..

but i'm actually wondering what BASIC color of eyeshadows I should have....

like when i browsed youtube,, most people or make up artists will go with soft beige as the 'base' and white as the highlight color....

if possible,, can you suggest me a good eyeshadows brand (other than MAC) in reasonable price???

in addition,, which one is worth more?? buying individual eyeshadows or a set like three-in-one or four-in-on??

thanx a bunchie-bunch!!

  1. I have always liked Maybelline. Cheap at Wal-Mart, if you actually want mall brand I would go with Clinique or Bare Essentials. Those and MAC are my favorite. Also, I would buy the ones with a few in them until you find the colors and style you like. And yes those colors suggested are good to use. But find some colors you like and just give them a try. :D

  2. KRYOLAN

  3. It doesn't really matter, just get the colors that you like. and since you just started using make up, that means your a kid right? so you should probably just wear a little bit right above your eyelashes, I started off with sometimes pink, and sometimes brown.

  4. It mostly depends on your skin tone, and finding eyeshadow shades to compliment that. But basic colors are usually browns, blacks and greys. Also, I think individual eyeshadows are better, because that way you can get colors that work together and compliment your eyes instead of a set that might have some colors that don't.

  5. Browns are good to start out with. Sometimes a gray or light black work well for some people.

You always want to use a highlight that is a bit white, no matter what the color of the eyeshadow is.

Some good AND reasonable makeup lines are NYX (not N.Y.C.), Milani (they have amazing browns), and Jane.

Probably getting a set is cheaper, but it all depends which colors you're going to use. One paltte has red, green, and brown. If you're just going to use the brown, it's probably not a good investment. So I say just get a few individual eyeshadows to start out with. :)

    Good luck! :)
