Question:

Eyesight Question?

Hi All,

I went to the Optometrists a little while back, and struggled to read the letter board from about half way.

The lady said that my left eye was weak, but my right eye was fine, and that I don't need glasses.

What I find though, is that my depth perception can sometimes be off, and I'm constantly banging into walls, tables, chairs - anything. I have headaches that last days and my eyes hurt from time to time.

When I get migraines I lose my sight, which is awful.

Should I get a second opinion or can these be put down to clumsiness, and bad luck with headaches?

Thanks!

  1. I would definately see an ophthalmologist for this.  If the vision in your left eye is weaker than your right, that could be the cause of your depth perception problems.  Your eyes are not working well together and that needs to be addressed.

  2. If that's the case you should definitely go to another doctor, maybe not just an optometrists.

  3. a second opinion is almost never a bad idea
