Question:

Eyesight...?

Okay so I've had the same prescription for a year, almost two, and I had been squinting for a while. So I finally decided to go get my eyes checked. They gave me a new prescription and I got my contacts and they were wonderful. I could see perfect and clear and I no longer felt the need to squint. This was maybe two months ago, but now I find myself squinting again.

I didn't get a new pair of glasses with my new prescription yet so I have been using my old prescription glasses at night as I'm going to sleep and such. Would that have affected my eyes?

Should I go get my eyes checked again?

  1. Yes. My best friend had the same problem. She had beautiful green eyes and when she found out she needed treatment (glasses), she refused and bought lenses instead- and even before being prescripted with lenses, she squinted an awful lot- especially when she read or used the computer. After 1 month she started squinting again during class and asked her that i thought she should wear them at all time- and she was, in fact, wearing them at this time. She then explained to me that many optromistists prescribe the wrong lenses or glasses type to many patients often, and that she had to go back to him later that day. So, where i'm getting at is that your optromistist may have prescribed the wrong lenses for you accidentely- and don't worry! It happens all the time and it won't affect your sight. But this can irritate one alot. Get yourself checked out and wish you all the best for you and your eyes!

  2. Holy c**p and I have an appointment for the optomolagist at thrree! :( I dont want to get my prescription raised because I NEVER USE MY GLASSES unlesss I cant read the board at school, and I have a feeling my prescriptions going to get worse ND WORSE! uGH. aNYWAYS they probably just gave you the wrong lenses, its very common don't worry!
