The agent of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 star, Ezequiel Lavezzi, has once again reiterated his stance that his client will remain at the Stadio Olimpico Rome next season.
Lavezzi has been subject of huge interest from several top European clubs and English side, Manchester City, were believed to be preparing an approximately 20-million-Euros bid to lure him to the Premier League. However, Napoli,
President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has made it clear that he will not let the Argentine international leave for anything less than 32-million-Euros, which is in his buy-out clause.
The player’s agent insisted that his client is extremely happy to stay at the club and is looking forward to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. He added that his client will only move if Napoli wish to sell him otherwise
he will stay at the club.
Talking to the reporters the agent said, "I don't know why all these rumours have come out regarding Lavezzi moving to another club. Maybe some people just want to stir up a case. It's true there is a clause in his contract, but
to leave a club, a player must also be in agreement.”
"Lavezzi will not leave Napoli, but if an offer was to arrive that suits both club and player then we could talk."
The 26-year-old has four years left on his current contract with the Italian giants after penning an extension only last year. Lavezzi will return to training on August 4th, 2011, after representing the Argentine national
