F1: Fernando Alonso under stress after Spa but still hopeful for Monza
The Spaniard champ racer, Fernando Alonso is in serious mental stress these days as he hasn’t been able to perform to his full capacity. However, the 29-year-old veteran is keen to do better in the future races.
The recent tour of Formula 1 Grand Prix at Spa in Belgium wasn’t much a success for Alonso but these days he is busy gaining the right level of confidence for the future. Alonso is of the view that he can still drive Ferrari and also grasp the Formula 1 world title.
The Belgium Grand Prix was very disappointing for the Ferrari team as their driver; Alonso once again failed to impress the world despite his sheer perfection and eligibility of being at the top. Currently, he is forty one points behind the Brit Lewis Hamilton and filling this point’s gap looks a very daring challenge for him.
With only six races remaining in the current Formula 1 season and despite the bad performance, Alonso is still committed to perform better during the upcoming Italian Grand Prix. This is definitely good news for the Ferrari team as they require the right amount of confidence and eagerness of the driver. The Italian Grand Prix will start from 12th September at Monza.
Fernando Alonso told reporters that he will try his level best to display a superb performance in Italy. He admitted that his points in the championship standings are far less than Hamilton’s but still the target is getable and he will try to shorten the gap as much as possible. He said that it is always hard to stay at a consistent pace during the race and points can fluctuate in no time during and after the race but there are 150 points to be grabbed and he has a fair chance of getting back at the top.
While talking about Spa, he said that it was not a good tour for him and he wasn’t expecting such disappointing results but despite this the next race at Monza will be a very important one for him and he will try to deliver and conquer the racing track there.
Meanwhile, this would be Alonso’s first race at Monza with his new Ferrari team. The veteran added that the Italian Grand Prix will be in front of his team’s home crowd as most of the men in Ferrari team are Italian and he is also expecting great support from the crowd.
