F1 News: Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso calm and focused ahead of Brazilian Grand Prix
The twenty-nine-year-old champ racer from Spain, Fernando Alonso, is of the view that he will enter into the Brazilian Grand Prix podium with a cool and relaxed mind. He has also announced that currently he is not willing to take
any sort of pressure for the upcoming race or the championship title.
In a recent interview, the veteran racer from the Ferrari racing team of the Formula 1 circuit expressed his thoughts about the upcoming Brazilian Grand Prix race and told the media that he is simply at peace as is currently very
satisfied with his performance in the ongoing racing season.
Currently, Alonso is leading the points chart with 231 points; he is followed by the veteran Australian racer from Red Bull, Mark Webber, who is eleven points adrift of Alonso (at 220 points).
The two-time world champion is currently in a very strong position to win another Formula 1 world championship title. The Spaniard has won four races out of the previous seven races and another win in the championship can grant
him another world title. It is also to be noted that by winning this year’s Formula 1 title, Alonso will become the ninth racer in the history of Formula 1 to win the title three times.
When the Spanish veteran was asked about his feelings for the upcoming crucial race at the Interlagos racing circuit, he said that he is feeling very much ready to race and he is very calm and satisfied at the moment. He added
that his performance in the current season has been very good for him as well as for Ferrari, and that the victory in the previous race at the Yeongam racing circuit (the Korean Grand Prix) has given him a lot of courage for the final two races.
Currently, five drivers are aiming high to grab the championship title and the title race is pretty much open, as the point difference between the drivers is very less. Considering the situation of the driver’s standings chart,
it is very much apparent that the Brazilian Grand Prix is not going to be an easy race for Alonso at all.
Alonso said that all the races are important for the drivers, as one race can change the situation of the points table. He added that he is very focused about the upcoming race as he is very well aware of the crunchy situation
and the importance of the final two races. While talking about his performance, the Spanish driving ace said that he has raced well and he is leading the championship, which is a very satisfying fact for him.
In a very recent interview, Fernando Alonso’s teammate at Ferrari, Brazilian Felipe Massa had announced that he will support Alonso in his struggle for the championship title. While talking about the fact, Alonso said that Massa
is a great teammate who supported him quite well in the Korean Grand Prix.
Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali has already stated that he expects Felipe Massa to be exceptional in his home race, in turn boosting Ferrari’s chances in the championships: “Brazil is Felipe’s home race and knowing him
the way I do, I am sure there will be that little bit extra motivation to do well.
“He will want to show his fans what he can do so I expect him to be very much up for the fight, doing all he can to win. He will be very quick, which is exactly what we need right now to reach our goals.”
Talking ahead of the race, Alonso said: “It will be business as usual for me. The others have to push and take the risks now.
“I like the track and the atmosphere. It very interesting and usually produces a spectacular race.
“The weather, which can be very changeable, could play an important role and we will have to be ready for any eventuality.”
The Brazilian Grand Prix race, which will be held on Sunday at the Interlagos racing circuit, is going to be very exciting and thrilling as all the top five contenders for the year’s Formula 1 world title will come head to head
to grab important points for them.
