What are the typical questions that are asked in a F1 visa interview n what're the best answers to them?

  1. They'll ask you about why you want to study in the US vs. your own home country.  They'll want to see that you have enough funds to support your stay while on your F-1.  And they'll want you to "prove" that you're coming home after your F-1 program ends.

    As long as you are honest, you should't have too many problems.  Make sure you take your acceptance letter, your I-20, SEVIS fee receipt, and "proof" that you're coming home--ie. if you own a car or home, a job offer for when you come back, family ties, etc.


  2. There is nothing sinister about a visa interview - it is all very straight forward.  Typical questions are designed to elicit if you are a serious student, why you are going to a particular place, how you intend to pay for it, and what you intend to do upon completion of your studies.  The best way to answer is with the truth.
