F1 is somewhat BORING this season (especially off the track)...Do you know why ??

Last season there was the duel between Alonso and Lewis, which created the buzz and excitement throughout the season. And there were also other things happening.

This season something seems to be missing...

Are the current drivers boring ?

Is the driver's line up in each team a boring line up?

Is F1 missing people like Montoya ?

Have you noticed the lack of buzz and excitement in F1 this season ?

What do you think is missing in F1 this season ?

  1. I haven't found it boring as for once there is numous winners. Maybe you would like Danica from the kiddies league to come over. Give me a break.

  2. .

I actually think this year has been a really excellent season; Massa's frailty at the start; Kubica's surge; Sutil at Monaco; Kovalainnen's nondescript performance dragging in fellow countryman Raikonnen; Alonso wringing the last rev outta the Renault; Cool Tart losing his marbles; Super Aguri's demise.

Topsy turvy so far, with halfish a season to go and none of the childish sh*te we were witness to last year.

    Love it

EDIT: It appears Blogspot (below), you feel that we didn't understand the question....and why do you think that?

It also appears Blogspot that you don't know the difference between a desert and a dessert. The difference is abundantly clear to me, as when I read your nonsense Spotted d**k came to mind - which is a dessert that can eaten. GOBi desert also springs to mind.

    :-O

EDIT: Why would i dream of sucking asterisks? Very strange. For your information Bloggy, I'm a L*****n.

EDIT 2: Thx Val....I had to look up on the net what PMSL was as I'm a bit slow on that type o thing. You're the one person that needs a good laugh...hope things are getting easier!!

  3. i think some ppl above didnt understand ur question correctly!!:-0

Yes..i agree to some extent with you ....i would say f-1 has become like an dessert(let me explain)...with 18 scattered oasis.....wen ur near oasis there is excitment fun,and everything but wen u are in the barren desert ders nothin or less of it....i mean ....replace dessert with' (f1)SEASON' and 'oasis' with 'races/race weekends'....and hence though the races have become more better than last year and couple of years back(i would say 2004-2007)....but the other times wen there aint any races things become boring.....as there is no news or big news about f1....

    @headswing-

g*y's like you always dream of sucking DicKs and ur that violent one   which eats away them....!! OMG.......i wont let u be be lucky enough to SucK *******  though and after that eat it !!!....

  4. I haven't been bored at all.  The Constructors championship is close.  The Drivers Championship is close with 4 drivers still in contention.  Whats the problem?

  5. i'm not bored. with schumi's now gone, the competition is more exciting, because no one is dominating now (even though there's still domination in constructor championship). the traction control banning is also fun. there are some new circuit as well...

maybe you're bored because this year there's no stephneygate and "dirty" teammate rivality?

  6. You've had many good answers already, serves me right for getting very drunk last night!

. I think personality wise, yes the grid is lacking any humorous, striking people at the moment.

. But this season, performance wise, the field is the closest its been for a few years (2003?) and apart from Valencia, there has been a fair bit of overtaking for modern F1 standards, anyway. Helped by quite a bit of rain, no doubt.

  7. i loved this season way better than last season (which sucked in my opinion). Last season it was only the battle between McLaren and Ferrari and I am dead tired of it. It was either Alonso , Massa, Raikkonen or Hamilton.

At least this season BMW did some catching and the midfield is very interesting with Toyota , Renault and Redbull fighting for fourth place.

  9. PMSL @ heads

It has been a really close season so far, so I don't think it has been that boring. I did say Valencia was a boring race (so incidentally did Lewis Hamilton today). Its been fun watching the guys adapt to no TC and none of them know what to expect at Malaysia, so I anticipate some excitement for you really soon :)

Montoya was just totally unpredictable. you didn't know if he was going to pass someone or take them off!!! Personally I do miss him as he was one of my favourite drivers, but be sure, we have lots of up and coming stars on the way

  10. F1 is not boring for die hard fans who understand a lot about engineering, strategy and driving, but perhaps it has become somewhat boring for the masses.  During this season 5 drivers have won races and 12 have visited the podium. It is not super competitive but if you look the mid-pack (Toyota, Red Bull, Renault, Williams) it´s been closer and closer. Remember the Mclaren years (Senna) or the Ferrari years (schumacher) when there was no suspense during the season, last year came down to the last race and this year looks even closer. However racing has become less attractive because of the lack of passing, a problem supposedly addressed by bringing back the slick tires next year.

The other reason is that after the Alonso fiasco last year, and the spygate saga and the Mosley story, drivers, team managers, etc. have become extremely cautious with their opinions and statements, and is kind of boring when nobody spices up the show. Of course Montoya is missed, not only off the track but also racing. He was bold !

  11. It's not really all that boring. Kimi, Massa and Hamilton (and earlier Kubica) are in the hunt for the title. Looks like this one's gonna be decided at the season closer too.

Massa started off poorly but is picking up the pace now. Kimi is now< i dunno...., slacking? and we're all hoping to see him regain his top form in the coming race. Hamilton... well, he's doing quite a solid job. Heikki meanwhile hasn't lived up to expectations and doesn't quite give Hamilton a run for his money. Will this change?

BUt I have to admit, JPM was one of the fun guys in F1. He's always doing or saying something that's really funny. It's not all boring off track. The media regularly reports on what's going on with Hamilton (if you're a fan)
