F1 news - Dynamic Briton wins the Belgium Grand Prix
The veteran racer from Great Britain has won the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa held this Sunday. It was a big day for the Mercedes McLaren team as Lewis Hamilton showed his class in the race and outclassed all of his rivals mercilessly with his expert drive.
It was an exciting day at the Spa racing circuit as all the drivers from the fast and passionate world of Formula 1 racing were eager to take on each other at one of the best racing tracks of the world. Later, the track was superbly conquered by Lewis Hamilton which was followed by his veteran rival and Red Bull team driver Mark Webber. Webber was tailed by the star performer of Renault Robert Kubica, and firmly grasped the third position. Ferrari superstar and Fernando Alonso’s team mate Filipe Massa clutched the fourth spot. It was a good day for the German legendary driver Michael Schumacher as well, as he was able to perform well and strong. Despite of suffering from a 10 place penalty in the race, Schumacher still managed to grab the seventh spot, which is a strong proof of his capability and dedication.
Now the victory has given Hamilton a lead of three points over the Australian champ racer Mark Webber. It was no doubt a special victory for the Mercedes McLaren driver as he was able to give his full in the hard situations of racing and gained the best of it. After winning the race the 25-year-old champ seemed happy and excited about his superb victory. While talking to the media Hamilton expressed his views joyfully and said that it was a wonderful day, as everything went according to the plan. It was a big day for the Mercedes McLaren team’s boss Martin Whitmarsh because his team had grabbed a thrashing and a bit unexpected victory. Whitmarsh expressed his thoughts after the race and said that it was great victory and he was overwhelmed by such a wonderful success.
It was a dramatic race because all the drivers were given straight indications and warnings of not to run off at the releasing bend. The Australian made a very daring and dangerous move for an initial lead by going very close to the corner for a quicker lead and made the other cars to pull over. It is from where the race leader Hamilton found a good space to drive his car through Webber and surpassing the rival Button. After that the rain stopped the race for some time. When the race was resumed Hamilton took a good control over his car and built a very convincing lead over the opponents. It was a bad day for the veteran driver and Lewis Hamilton’s teammate Button, as his car was hit by Sebastian Vetell’s vehicle. The incident kicked the ace-racer out of the race, and gave a strong blow to his championship hopes. Later after the race he expressed his thoughts in despair and told the media that he is not happy with the way everything went at the racing track. He added that this incident has brought a strong blow to his plans of clutching the world championship which is making him more frustrated.
Later the race was conquered by the 25-years-old Briton who kept the lead till the end. Hamilton expressed his feelings by saying that this victory has brought a new life to him as he was lacking some confidence after the Hungarian Grand Prix. He added that now he is feeling much better and relaxed, as he has regained his lost confidence level. While talking about his experience at Spa, Hamilton said that it is one of the best and toughest racing circuits. Racing here at Spa in Belgium Grand Prix is never too easy and he is happy that he has delivered the best for him and for his team.
