  1. There's an F31 that sails out of New Hampshire that is quite fast. In a 25 mile race where their class started last, Triceratops was the first boat in fleet to finish. The F-31 is pretty easy to shorthand sail, is pretty stable, and is capable of over 15 knots, and I mean OVER. By the time Corsair started building the F31, they had the folding mechanism pretty well thought out. The owner of Triceratops says it takes him about an hour from trailer to sailability, including raising the mast.

On the other hand, on day two of racing they withdrew when the winds got above 30 knots and the seas were 3 - 5'. Not sure if they broke something, or if the sea state just made the boat incredibly difficult to sail.

  2. They are fast.
