FA Cup Full Time Report: Birmingham City vs Bolton Wanderers – Late goal gives Bolton win (Part 3)
The second-half kicked off in almost the same manner in which the first half had ended. Birmingham seemed to be on top of things, while Bolton were looking to make the most of what they had, but weren’t doing a very good job at it.
In the 52nd minute, it seemed like Bolton would get awarded a spot-kick. The ball looked like it collided with the hands of Birmingham defender, Curtis Davis but the referee decided to go in a completely other direction and awarded Birmingham

Then in the 58th minute, Jerome was given space to run at the Bolton goal. Jaaskelainen had to rush towards the striker and despite the forward trying to come around him, the keeper did brilliantly to knock the ball behind for a corner. There
were shouts and screams from the players and the fans for a penalty and a red card, but the replays showed that the big keeper got his interception down to perfection.
In the 61st minute Bolton made a double switch. Chung-Young Lee and Mark Davis came on to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabrice-Muamba-c13216. These changes showed that Bolton were going to give it their all and as a result were bringing in more attack oriented
players.
Just a minute after being brought on, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-c21860 imposed his role in the game after he cleared a Birmingham effort towards the Bolton goal off the line.
In the 64th minute Bolton thought that they were a goal up in the game after Kevin Davis slammed home a shot. However the linesman went on to flag the player as off-side and the replays showed that the official had gotten his decision spot on.

the visiting side with a spot kick.
After being fouled to win the penalty, Davies stepped up to take the resulting kick. The forward went on to slot a calm and composed shot down the middle of the goal and with the keeper diving to his left, the penalty kick gave Bolton the advantage in the
game.
