The chairman of the Football Association, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 defender has gone on to damage the reputation of English football.
The defender was up for trial by an independent panel, on the basis that he went on to make racial slurs towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anton-Ferdinand-c6260.
Following the panel finding him guilty of those crimes, he was banned for four games, and fined around two hundred and twenty thousand pounds in the process.
Bernstein has gone on to condemn the behaviour that Terry has displayed, and he went on to issue a statement, which went on to state that the player and others need to learn from the way the player is being treated.
Terry has opted not to appeal against the charges, while Chelsea have gone on to state that they will be punishing the player for his actions as well.
"The decision by John Terry not to appeal his FA charge hopefully brings to a close a difficult period for the domestic game in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 in which, unfortunately, the reputation of English football has been damaged," he said.

"It is a shame that one high profile incident has had such a major impact. But this single event should not be allowed to overshadow the massive strides taken by players, managers, clubs, leagues and so many across the national game in terms of equality and
inclusion."
This is not the first time that Terry has gone on to be put in the lime light for all the wrong reasons. He was caught up in a number of scandals in the past, but based on the FA’s point of view, this is potentially the worst thing the player has gone.
A number of leagues around the world are currently looking to fight racism and hate crimes that are conducted on the basis of skin colour. The English FA are regarded to be amongst the leading footballing bodies to take action against such activities, but
with a player like Terry for to be found guilty of such actions, it sends out a very negative image of English football.
