FAA 8610-2 form life?

I got the form to take my tests about late of 2004 i took all three tests for the A&P certificate in late 2005. I held off taking my oral and practical due to funds then lost my certificates for the tests and 8610-2 form in a house fire. Well after some bumps in the road i am back on track and would like to pursue the A&P license again. I know i can get copies for a dollar a piece from the FAA but is it worth the wait or should i just go and start from scratch?

Thank you

  1. You can actually just use the online form if you're up for a new checkride.

    Check out http://iacra.faa.gov/iacra/

  2. If you start from scratch you'll have to prove you have the experience necessary to take the tests all over again.  It would seem to me if you can get copies that might help you out as far as proving you are qualified to take the tests.  A call to your local FSDO for clarification might help.
