FAA ATP rated Pilot and resident alien i'm in need of a BFR do i need to go through the TSA c**p?

have had faa ratings for over 20 years and been a resident with green card for 25 years and need a Biennial flight review. I know the TSA is now getting more involved . Do i need to get prior approval before completing the review even though its not a new rating.

  1. To answer your question...NO, you only have to provide this information if you are training for a new certificate or rating. It is no different than going to renew your CFI.

  2. Don't think you'll need approval but you will need to provide all your documentation.

    Suggest you look at www.dhs.gov
