Is it true that when someone gets "braids" or "corn rolls" this is bad for their hairline? I've heard a myth that when men get corn rolls it can cause them to have a fading hairline. is this true?

  1. god please tell me you're not getting corn rolls....

i heard if you do, your head rots from the neck up and your head eventually falls off.

  2. YES! anything to stop you getting them

  3. No myth! It comes from the tension that is put on the hair during the braiding or cornrow process.

You must be really careful when wearing your hair in this manner.

    Hope that helps ya!

  4. I don't know about that but they can cause breakage which can make your hair appear and feel thinner. Because they are pulled so tight it puts a lot of pressure on the scalp and hair etc. If you get them a lot try to take a break in between where your hair can just rest and grow in

  5. LOL  .... I don't think so.

Fading hairline or going bold got nothing to do if someone gets braids or corn rolls.

See and observed your family history regarding hair status.

Myth is nothing to do with hair.

  6. I think it COULD be true. Men who wear tight baseball caps can cause an erroding hairline. My mom always puts her hair up in a half ponytail and started seeing little balding patches where it pulls the most so she stopped wearing her hair like that. I think it is possible and would make a lot of sense!
