FAFSA Help!!??

I reciently filled out my FAFSA form and I just checked my status of it. It has been processed on 3/12/08, but when I looked at my family contribution it said [not calculated]

Waht did i do wrong??

  1. You may not have done anything wrong.  There are several reasons why your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) may not have been calculated.

    I am guessing that you checked the status of it online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov .  If so, it should also tell you WHY your EFC was not calculated.  Maybe there was information missing or incomplete.  

    Check online again, an read through the Comments section for more information.  It could turn out to be a very easy fix.

There are multiple reasons why an EFC might not be calculated.  If you go back on to the FAFSA web site and download your SAR (Student Aid Report) it will tell you exactly what's wrong and what to do about it.  You can also call the Financial Aid Office of the school you listed on the FAFSA.  They will be able to help you, as well.
