I'm a senior in high school, well I will be in october, and I started my college applications recently. I was wondering, is it too early to fill out the FAFSA form??

  1. Yes, it's too early.  You can't apply for financial aid for the 2009-2010 school year (which is when I assume you'll be a freshman in college since you state that you'll be a high school senior during the 2008-2009 school year) until your parents (and you if you work) complete your 2008 tax returns.  Those can't be completed until after 2008 is over.  So the earliest you could complete the FAFSA is January 2009.

  2. If you will be a senior in the fall, it's too early to apply now.  You must wait until the next FAFSA is online and your parent(s) have statements of their annual earnings through January 2009.

  3. Yes, don't worry about that stuff until last summer.  Just focus on your last year of school and enjoy it.

FYI, I start school  (2nd year of college in University of Wisconsin Superior) during the begining of September and I just did mine not too long ago.

  4. It's not too early, you can always make changes to it.
