Question:

FAFSA forms?

I have been looking into a vocational school for massage therapy. The classes start twice a year, once in September and once in February. I would need financial aid and plan on filling out the FAFSA form, but I'm not sure if it's too late to do for the September classes. I know that you are suppose to do it early, should I just wait and try for the February classes?

  1. I have never found a massage therapy program that was eligible to receive FAFSA funding.  As far as I can tell, the Department of Ed does not consider them real schools or a real certificate or degree program.

I'm sure the school will point to all kinds of accreditation's they have; by important sounding agencies and regional and specialty so and so's,  but unless the US Deptartment of Education recognizes them for federal financial aid funding, don't go!!

  2. try applying and also talking to the school to see if you are still eligible. you also need to find out the cut off date for applications to the school too. Make an appt to talk to an Admissions consular at the school and let them know your plans.

also some two year colleges offer massage therapy and they are less expensive and you can get financial aid for them. they offer it at my college.
