FAFSA student aid?????

I just started my senior year of high school 3 weeks ago. I have to apply to my college in November and I'm thinking about applying for financial aide. When I went to their website, it said "The 2008-2009 School Year (July 1st, 2008 - June 30th, 2009)" Is that the deadline of when to apply? Should I apply now?

You should call the financial aid office and ask them when the deadline date is. You should not limit yourself to just FAFSA, there are a lot of programs that offers free money for college. You can go to finaid.org or http://www.nicolesguide.com and look in the grants section. You can also apply for their tuition assistance program.

No, I believe they are still on this school year. There is a certain date (can't remember it right now) that they open up the FAFSA apps for the next year. Find out the date and apply as soon as you're able to. The federal money is handed out based on need AND on a first come first served basis. So early is good.

i suppose you are going to start on fall 2009 so you would be applying for the 2009-2010 year and you can apply as early as january 1 2009, the 2008-2009 aid year if for students going to school in fall 2008 and spring 2009
