  1. wow now everyone knows what kind of mom that child will have poor thing.

there is no way of knowing until she has her baby.take the alcohol away or something obviously she does not know how to be an adult let alone a mother

  2. there is nothing that states how much it takes to hurt an unborn child, that is why they say DONT do it. Ecstacy while the fetus was developing their spinal cord and brain i am going to guess will have some effect on the baby. everyone makes mistakes and if she didnt know she was pregnant so theres nothing she can really do about that, but im pretty sure at 8months she knew she had a baby in her, what the H*ll was she doing drinking???? that many drinks, and why werent people stopping her, i would have called the cops, that is child endangerment whether the child was born yet or not. That just makes me sick

  3. I don't think that anyone can really say what the chances are.

I'm pretty sure she would have had to drink a lot more than that and on a constant basis to affect her child.

She couldn't help what she did before she knew, but drinking that much while pregnant and KNOWING is just stupid.

My SIL drank about that much one night with her child. He came out absolutely fine. She also drank one or two every now and again, at the time I thought yeah one or two can't hurt - but now that i'm pregnant i wouldn't even touch alcohol.

  4. there is no specific amount of alcohol intake that make the disorder because there are women that have gotten drunk their whole pregnancy and their babies were fine sothere is no way you how much you can drink that is way they say not  to drink at all

  5. What the h**l is ECCY??? If it's extacy-then YES that will prob do damage to an unborn child. If it causes brain damage in a human than why not in the fetus? Drinking only one night will most likely not-its usually when someone drinks all throughout pregnancy that there are serious effects on the fetus. But you didnt say how far along she is and when the drinking and stuff occured, because that really matters. Besides, the doctor will tell you that you can have a one glass of wine a week in the later trimesters. But that doesn't mean she should be out repeating what she did-it was stupid and extremely selfish for her to do that in the first place because there isn't a 100% chance that the baby will be okay.

P.S. My best friend drank a ton and did coke every day for a couple months before she knew she was pregnant and the baby was very very healthy!!! 7lbs 9oz., 20 inches long!!

  6. I highly doubt her baby is damaged from it. I mean if she's 8months and she's been going to the doc. then they would of said something. her baby is probably A OKAY. stop trying to scare her.

  7. uh yes there is a chance that the baby will be effected. I cant believe someone would do that to the unborn child. She doesn't deserve to be able to bear children.

  8. not that much damage its dangerous in the first 3 months but she shouldnt be drinking at all i know people who drink after the first 3 months and their baby is fine but i wouldnt do it nor suggest someone else to do it

  9. Your friend sounds pretty stupid and irresponsible, she obviously doesn't care about her baby at all and I hope her child gets taken away and placed in a home with loving parents.  I don't know what eccy is?  do you mean ecstacy?

Anyways, here's what I know about drugs/alcohol during pregnancy:  Alcohol taken during the 1st trimester does the most damage, but her baby could still have brain damage, and honestly with severe FASD you can sometimes tell at birth, but sometimes you don't know for many years, it could cause a mild developmental disability which she would never know if it was because of the alcohol or not.  Drugs are actually not as bad, when you talk about crack babies let's say, they will go through withdrawal after birth (scream like you never knew possible) but once the withdrawal is done, there's often no lasting damage.  I was quite surprised at that.

Anyways, there's no likelyhood percentage I can give you.  That's really sad what she is doing to that baby. He/she is not even born yet and she is abusing the child.

  10. the ecstacy probably didnt cause any harm, as it was before she knew she was pregnant and im sure her doctor would say the same. some doctors say that ONE drink is ok every now and them but by no means is 8. she should first, be ashamed. her baby probably wont have FASD but thats a risk that she should have never taken. shame on her.

  11. unfortunately, I think it's unlikely... less with the alcohol, actually... I'm more concerned about the ex.  During the time she took the tablet, the baby's major systems were beginning to form... i don't know what the effect will be but i don't think it'll be good
