  1. Become a cop first then test for the specialization.  While non-sworn personnel are hired to do some collection, 'searching' and 'investigation' are done by cops.  In fact it is much harder for non-cops to search.  A search warrant only protects peace officers from civil rights lawsuits.

If you want to be a lab tech and just test stuff all day then go chemistry with a minor in biology.

  2. We always joke about people who watch this and think it's cool. It's not. Go sniff a dead, bloated body. Come back then and tell me. You only want the image you see, which is not accurate. It's nasty.

But if you wanted to really get started go to San Marcos, Texas. They have a really cool progrm there. Also in Tennessee. Don't go to the one in Las Vegas. Both of the afrementioned places have dead body farms. They put dead bodies under different temperatures outdoors to get their students better equipped.

  3. You start by spending less time in front of the TV.

It's entertainment man, not real life. Start by getting out of the house and maybe going to college.

  4. Biology, Biology, Biology, Computers, Computers, Computers.
