FC Augsburg defender Hajime Hosogai has urged his fellow countrymen to test their skills in Germany. He reckons that there are better opportunities for youngsters in Germany and more players should come and prove their worth for better prospects in the national
side.
The 25-year-old was talking in the wake of his side’s 4-0 loss to the defending champions Borussia Dortmund. The newly promoted Augsburg outfit travelled away to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, October 1. They are currently are 17th on the league
table, level on points with bottom placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485.
Hosogai told that there are a number of Japanese players currently playing in the Bundesliga who have already enjoyed success in the country. He pointed at the success of Dortmund midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364 and urged other Japanese players to prefer playing
in Germany rather than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
The player admitted to his team’s below par performance at the weekend and vowed to bounce back in the upcoming league game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166. He also apologised for his poor display that accounted for a yellow card. The defender was eventually substituted
on the 82nd minute mark.
When asked about his time at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Urawa-Red-Diamonds-c40835, Hosogai stated that the J-league is not as competitive as the German Bundesliga and there is a lot to learn here in Germany for the youngsters.
While talking to local website, the player further enthused, “Well, I think that the Reds are Japan’s biggest club, so if I wanted to top that, I’d have to go overseas. It’s still a shame I wasn’t able to leave Urawa with the best results. Of course in general,
there are huge differences between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. But concerning playing style, each position is played differently, so it’s hard for me to name any similarities.”
The full back spent five years with the Red Diamonds and got six goals for the club from 126 league appearances. Since joining Augsburg on-loan from Bayer Leverkusen, the player has earned himself two league goals so far from 12 games.
