FC Augsburg defender Hajime Hosogai has expressed delight at his German journey so far. The player has been a regular member of manager Jos Luhukay’s squad this term and has already impressed with his special talent.
The player was talking after Saturday’s humiliating defeat at the hands of reigning champions Borussia Dortmund. Luhukay’s men lost the game by a massive 4-0 margin. Hosogai earned himself a yellow card, and was substituted in the 82nd minute.
With the exception of Saturday’s game, the Japanese, so far, has been a star performer for his side and has also scored twice in five league appearances this term. The defender also showed pleasure after knowing about the number of Japanese players who want to play in Bundesliga. He reckons that there is a lot to learn in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 for the youngsters and the opportunities are also greater compared to the other leagues
like La Liga or English Premier League.
While talking to a local website on the performance of his fellow countrymen, the 25-year-old further enthused, I’m happy about it! Of course, that’s also because I was able to become one of them.”
When asked about the comparisons with Shinji Kagawa, the Japan international stated, “He’s a rolemodel in many ways. Seeing what he’s done is pure inspiration... it’s incredible. We play different positions, so I really don’t pay attention to those comparisons.
But obviously what he’s done is inspiring... when I see what he’s done, I feel like I have to try harder.”
Hosogai has so far represented Augsburg in 12 league games since landing at SGL Arena on-loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
