The left midfielder has been linked with a host of European clubs and the Bundesliga outfit is the latest to express keen interest in his services.
Reports from Euroborg Stadion confirm that Borussia Monchengladbach are taking keen interest in signing FC Groningen's highly-rated midfielder, Dusan Tadic, in the ongoing January transfer window.
The left midfielder arrived at Euroborg Stadion in the summer of 2010 and since then, he has impressed many with his scintillating shows on the left flank.
He netted seven goals and provided 17 assists in his debut season with the Green-White-Army, and his performances have not dropped half-way into the ongoing season. The 23-year-old has thus far netted three goals and set up eight more in 19 Eredivisie appearances.
His impressive performances garnered him interest from a host of top European clubs, with some reports even linking him with a switch to AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
However, the club management has denied all such rumours, revealing that the offer made by the Italian club was not appropriate, and insisted that 23-year-old is going nowhere.
Tadic’s agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zoran-Pavlovic-c38079, had recently revealed that Bundesliga outfit has expressed keen interest in acquiring the services of his client in the ongoing winter transfer market.
The Green-White-Army director, Hans Nijland, has confirmed the reports and revealed that the German club is expected to make contact in the coming days.
“Zoran Pavlovic, Tadic's agent, let us know that Monchengladbach are interested in Tadic and want to make contact on Monday”, Nijland was quoted as saying to RTV Noord.
The Green-White-Army director then went on to assert that his side does not intend to lose the 23-year-old in the ongoing winter transfer market.
“We would not let him go this winter. We are working to finish at a respectable place in the league table, and he is one of our main players”, Nijland concluded.
Monchengladbach are reportedly looking for a replacement of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733, who will join Borussia Dortmund at the end of this season.
With the Eredivisie outfit management keen to hold on to their prized asset until the end of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign, it seems likely that the German club will have to make a move for the left midfielder in the summer transfer window.
