FC Kaiserslautern forward Itay Shechter confident of a good start to the season- Bundesliga news
FC Kaiserslautern striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Itay-Shechter-c17205 has insisted that the club needs a good start in the upcoming season if it needs to assure a successful campaign. The player stated that setting ambitious targets before the term starts could put a lot of pressure on the players and admitted that there is immense potential in the squad.
Shechter signed for the German side form Israeli giants Hapoel Tel Aviv in this summer’s transfer window for an undisclosed fee and signed a two-year contract.
The attacker insisted that he is prepared to give his all for the club in the next season to ensure a successful campaign. The player added that his pace will surely be his strength and remained confident that his goal scoring form in the past few months would definitely help him improve.
“I know that my pace is one of my strong points and I think I have a solid tactical understanding of the game. Moreover, I have a good eye for goal. Nevertheless, I don't like talking about my own personal strengths,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to the club’s official website.
The Israeli international admitted that it would be difficult to predict the performance of the team at this stage but was adamant that they will be a force in the next campaign and was happy with the pre-season training. He added that the squad has many quality players and the team certainly has the potential to achieve big next season.
“It would be presumptuous to start talking about European places. We need to make sure we get off to a good start and pick up points. Once we've do that, we can, start talking about higher targets. The squad certainly has the potential to stay in the top flight,” the former Hapoel Tel Aviv player concluded.
