FC Kaiserslautern manager Marco Kurz signs contract extension- Bundesliga news
FC Kaiserslautern manager Marco Kurz has signed a contract extension with the club. Club Executive Director Stefan k***z revealed that the club wants to keep the manager as the team has climbed the ladder with him in charge. He
insisted that Kurz is the right man to take the club forward and can take the team to further success in the years to come.
Marco Kurz guided the club to the 2.Bundesliga title in the 2009-10 season and brought the side back to the first division after four years. He had a sensational campaign last term as the Red Devils finished their term in seventh
place, making them the surprise of the season.
Stefan k***z claimed that Marco Kurz is one of the best managers in the Bundesliga right now and the players feel highly confident and determined under him. He added that Kurz has been sensational since he joined the side in 2009
and has since guided them to the top flight, winning the second division title, and a top-half finish last year.
The Director admitted that the club is confident that the manager will keep the side in the Bundesliga for another season and there will be improvement in the future.
“We have one of the best managers in the league and want to continue with him. Under Marco, we have brought the team back into the Bundesliga after a four year absence and we managed a fantastic seventh placed finish in our first
year back last season. We are confident he will keep us in the Bundesliga this season and he will help us plan for the future,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
Marco Kurz also expressed his delight on signing a new deal and claimed that he wants to take the club forward.
“At FCK we work in an honest and trusting way and I'm happy to be able to stay at the club. Through hard work, we want to establish the club in the Bundesliga,” he concluded.
FC Kaiserslautern are struggling in 16th place with five points.
