FC Koln’s Lukas Podolski credits fans for his success at RheinEnergie Stadion – Bundesliga news 
FC Koln striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 reckons that the fans are responsible for his success at the club. He was talking after his side’s 2-0 win over Hoffenheim on Sunday, September 25.
Podolski was one of the two scorers in the game alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mato-Jajalo-c24763, who opened the scoring in the 20th minute.
The German international recently came under heavy criticism from his manager, Stale Solbakken, over his lack of form. The striker, since then, has been performing at his level best having scored four goals from six league appearances.
Podolski has vowed to maintain his current form for the future assignments and is already looking forward to the game against Bayern Munich on Sunday, October 1.
The 26-year-old added that his performances have been influenced by the continuous backing of fans. He credited them for improvement in his current form, which has also contributed to the club’s success.
While talking to a local newspaper, former Bayern Munich player enthused, "These fans are absolutely unique in the Bundesliga. When I see what kind of an atmosphere they create when we win, it is sensational. It gives me goosebumps. They push me to perform
so well. Cologne fans are everywhere and I am delighted that we have such support."
Podolski went on to demand continued support from the fan and hoped for better results in the upcoming fixtures. The striker also reserved praise for manage, Solbakken, who has been an inspiration for the young Billy Goats outfit.
The German international stated that Koln are improving gradually and will certainly finish this campaign in the top six. He concluded his remarks by saying, "It does you good when you see people on the street smiling and children happily waving Cologne
flags in the air. Two illnesses knocked me back a bit, but now I am feeling good and my aim is to get even better."
Podolski joined FC Koln in 2009 and has 19 goals under his belt from 65 league games so far. He earned his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 debut in 2004 and has bagged 43 goals until now from 92 international caps.
