FC Nuremberg defender Javier Pinola ruled out for three weeks with thigh injury- Bundesliga news

be a huge blow for manager Dieter Hecking.

team that finished in a surprise sixth place last season.
Pinola admitted that the last few weeks have been bad for him as he suffered a thigh injury and had to wait for the MRI scans to know what the extent of the injury was. He insisted that he is relieved to know that the results are
clear and that there is less damage than he expected.
“I am happy the MRI scan has uncovered the reason for my recent pains. I now know what is going on with me. It has been up and down in the last few weeks,” the defender was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Argentine international admitted that he feared that the injury would e much worse when the results of the MRI scan did not come out. The player stated that he is hopeful to recover from the knock in the next few days so that
he can help the team to a top-half finish on the standings table.
“I had feared the worse, I am definitely hoping to return at the end of this month, but I do not want to put myself under pressure at the moment. I have never had an injury like this before, so I will have to see,” he concluded.
Javier Pinola has so far made 170 league appearances for FC Nuremberg and scored six goals in the process. The 28-year old has also made one appearance for the national team.
