FC Porto star, Alvaro Pereira, claims that he is not sad despite his transfer to the Londoners failing.
The left-back was reportedly on the verge of being acquired by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, but the transfer has been ruled out and despite that the player claims he is happy in his current surroundings and is looking forward to challenging for the Primeira Liga title.

However all rumours of a move have been quashed by Villas-Boas, who claims that his side are not monitoring the 26-year-old and will not be signing him in the upcoming transfer window.
Whether be it due to financial reasons or the lack of interest from the London outfit, Pereira will not be heading to the Premiership but despite the setback, the player is unfazed.

"I was glad that such an important club showed interest in signing me. If the transfer did not happen it was for some reason, and I am sure that fate holds something better for me.”
He also added that he took many positives from the saga but was now going to focus on his career at Estadio do Dragao and help his team retain the Liga Sagres title.
“I look at this as something positive, rather than a negative thing in my career. All I have to do is look forward and continue to work,” Alvaro Pereira was quoted as saying.
