FC Porto’s Cristian Rodriguez was omitted from the squad that faced Zenit St. Petersburg due to a row with coach, Vitor Pereira, according to reports. The winger has allegedly had a war of words with the tactician and has since then been excluded from the
main squad training.

According to reports, Rodriguez, got into an argument with the trainer in practice last week and was then banished from training with the rest of the team. Porto have indeed confirmed the incident and said that the 26-year-old had a spat with Pereira, which
was the reason why he had been kicked-out of the squad for the Zenit game.
While the situation for the player and the club is precarious, the midfielder has been training in the gym on his own and is looking to maintain his fitness levels.
However there are only two solutions to the problem, one is that the Portistas somehow reconcile Rodriguez with the coach and the other is the option of selling him.
Convincing the two to patch up their differences will be a tough task for the Dragons and they may be better off by selling the player in the upcoming transfer window.
The club are already in dire need of finances and could solve two major problems in one go, if they decide to part ways with Cristian Rodriguez when the transfer window re-opens in the winter.
