FC Porto have not made any concrete offer for Teofilo Gutierrez
Portuguese giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Teofilo-Gutierrez-c34789 according to Racing club vice-president, Rodolfo Molina. The official also added that if the Portistas do indeed step up their interest they will have to cough up the necessary
amount in order to secure the signature of the forward.
Vitor Pereira’s Porto have seemingly been lacking the necessary tenacity upfront this term. The Dragons were undoubtedly at the peak of their powers last campaign in which they hauled in an incredible quadruple.
However during that period, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 was the club’s leading man and his departure to Atletico Madrid in the summer has severely dented the attack at the helm.
His former partner, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436, has continued where he left off and has been in superb form for the Dragao this season.
However despite his world-class abilities, he alone cannot bear the burden of leading to the club to glory and for that reason the Estadio do Dragao hierarchy have been monitoring the progress of Teofilo Gutierrez.
The highly rated Colombian International has often been compared to Falcao and has himself admitted that he would relish the prospect of playing for the Portuguese champions.
His agent spoke on his behalf and said that his client was currently on holidays but has made clear his desire to play for the Azuis-e-Brancos.
"Tommy only wants to play for FC Porto," Efraín Pachon said.
While the move looks almost set, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rodolfo-c31415 Molina has revealed that although there have been rumours of the Portuguese outfit’s interest, the club have not made any official contact with the Academy.
Speaking to reporters, the supremo said that only when the interested party will come in with a concrete deal will the Argentine side consider negotiating and until that time everything were just rumours.
"We have not had any offers for Teo. These are all rumours. When we get a formal proposal, with specific figures, then we will evaluate the transfer.”
Molina also added that while his side were willing to let the player leave for greener pastures, FC Porto will have to part with a hefty transfer fee in order to avail his services in either the summer or the winter window.
"The club will not refuse to sell him, but they will have to pay what we want,” Rodolfo Molina was quoted as saying.
With FC Porto on the look for a top quality forward and Teofilo Gutierrez being their preferred target, a switch seems destined to go down in the upcoming transfer window.
However in order to land the former Besiktas man, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitor-c36281 Pereira’s side will have to part ways with a substantial amount of cash and given their dire need they are likely to do so.
