FC Porto manager Andre Villas-Boas reveals that the Europa League final could have been better
FC Porto manager, Andre Villas-Boas, has revealed that his side and Portuguese counterparts Sporting Braga could have been better in the UEFA Europa League final in Dublin. Despite the win, the coach was clearly not impressed with his side’s performance
and stated that the final didn’t present Portuguese football in the best way.

Villas-Boas, who has become the youngest manager to win the competition, insisted that he had a mixed reaction after the match and the final could have been livelier. Porto, who have played some brilliant attacking football all season, were a bit under par
in final.
The former Assistant of Jose Mourinho also expressed his delight on winning the competition and rated the season as remarkable.
“I feel just a little sad because both teams and the final could have been better. Both were well aware of the occasion but that is nothing new in a final. However, there is also a great deal of joy after winning the trophy and this end to the season is
absolutely remarkable,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician also had some words of appreciation for the opposition and applauded Braga’s sensational run to the final after beating some of the best teams in the world.
“Braga were very aggressive through and were very compact in their defensive block, thus making our work very difficult,” he concluded.
Andre Villas-Boas has been linked to a move to London giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 recently. If reports are to be believed, Carlo Ancelotti is on his way out after a disappointing season this term.
Owner Roman Abramovich has been a huge admirer of the current Porto manager and the Russian billionaire wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge. However, Andre has denied the reports and stated that he wants to stay with the Dragons.
