FC Porto continue their hunt for Santos star Danilo despite having almost completed the transfer of his teammate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Sandro-c4798, according to reports. The Portistas are eager on a sensational swoop to raid Santos off their prized assets and now are near completion
of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Sandro’s signing, as revealed by his agent.
Porto are far from satisfied with their shopping spree in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 and are also targeting Danilo, whom they see as an investment for the future.
The Brazilian U-20 International is currently preparing for the upcoming U-20 World and will be keen to secure a move to a top European side in a bid to further his glittering career. Securing the services of the talented youngster, though, would not be
easy, as the Dragons will have to counter offers from Juventus and arch-rivals Benfica, who are turning to him as a replacement for Fabio Coentrao.
The Eagles lost their star defender to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joan-Capdevila-c18631 from Villarreal, but the World Cup winner is 33 years
of age does not have too many years left in him. Thus the Lisbon side have identified Danilo as a more permanent solution to their defensive woes.
The Reds have launched a €10 million offer for the highly-rated prospect but the proposal can be bettered by Porto, who boast a stronger financial muscle and are also in contention for the starlet.
However Danilo has made his preference for Benfica known and has called them an “ideal team”.
“I am excited [about Benfica's interest] because it is a great club, which is used to winning. They are an ideal team for my first European experience - especially as there is no language barrier." The youngster was reported as saying.
With both the clubs determined to land the player and debt-ridden Santos looking to sell, a move to the Portuguese Primeira Liga is looking increasingly likely for Danilo.
