FC Porto shock CSKA Moscow in the UEFA Europa League

The match was played at the Olimpiyskiy Stadion Luzhniki in Moscow. A second-half goal from Columbian midfielder Fredy Guarin saw the away side secure all three points in the match.

The visitors gradually found their way back into the game in the second half as they took advantage of the frustrated opposition.
Fredy Guarin put the Dragons ahead in the 70th minute with a powerful volley from just outside the box. The Columbian provided his side with an away goal which could turn out to be crucial in the race to the quarterfinals. The Russians tried everything
after that but the Porto defence was superb in the last 15 minutes of the match denying the Army Men any opportunity to come back.
FC Porto will defend the one goal next week at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto in the second leg of the fixture and have a huge chance of qualifying for the last eight of the competition.
