Radamel Falcao, the 25-year-old FC Porto striker, has revealed his desire to play for English Premier League giants Chelsea.
With the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager, Falcao now has even more reason to leave Porto for the London side.
It was the Portuguese manager who managed to get the best out of the Colombian international at Porto, last season.
Falcao scored an extraordinary 39 goals in 42 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 in all competitions, helping his side to win four trophies.
Including the local cup titles, Falcao led the Portuguese giants to the Primeira League and the UEFA Europa League.
Falcao said in a recent interview that he wished to play in the English Premier League for a certain side, which he said he could not mention.
Falcao said while speaking to reporters:
“There is a club that I dream to play for. They are foreign but I do not want to say who it is now. The Spanish league is good, but I prefer the Premier League as there is a better atmosphere on the field.”
The Colombian striker flourished under Villas-Boas, which is why he is eager to follow the manager to the London side.
Even though the young Portuguese manager has not yet identified his targets for the summer transfer window, it is believed he wishes to have Falcao at the Bridge.
Falcao would make a good replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044, the 33-year-old Ivory Coast international, who is close to a Stamford Bridge exit.
Even if Drogba ends up accepting the one year extension and remaining at Stamford Bridge, he will retire in a season or two.

Falcao revealed he was ready to leave Porto for a bigger challenge, which he felt the English Premier League would provide.

“I never thought I would score so many goals. It has been a surprise for me and I have benefitted from the quality that we have in our team. I have matured in every respect and I am qualified to play in any big league.”
