Portuguese giants FC Porto are set to report the improper behaviour of Manchester City fans to UEFA after the Etihad stadium crowd continuously jeered Brazilian star Hulk.
Only last week, Manchester City filed a complaint with the continental body over an alleged racism allegation. The Premier League side claimed that Yaya Toure and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 had been subjected to racist taunts and that the Portistas should be punished
accordingly for it.
UEFA issued a statement yesterday revealing that they would probe into the matter and solve it as soon as possible.
Racism has been a major problem in the game’s history, with many being targeted due to their heritage or colour. FIFA and its affiliated associations have taken a hard stance on the matter and the way recent cases were treated, it is certain that no leniency
will be shown to perpetrators.
Luis Suarez got 8 match ban because of his remarks on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231, while the John Terry-Anton Ferdinand saga has also been well documented in recent months. However as the player was singled out of criticism by the supporters, this has enraged the Dragons and they are likely to report the whole incident to UEFA.
Porto director Rui Cerqueira has commented on the situation and revealed that although this kind of action could be acceptable in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 it would not be tolerated and that his side will take the appropriate steps to ensure that it doesn’t
happen again.
"This kind of behaviour may be normal in England, but we want to eradicate it from football," the official was quoted as saying.
