FC Porto’s Jorge Fucile prefers the Premier League
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-Fucile-c19163 reportedly prefers joining an English Premier League club over other teams which are interested in acquiring his services.
The Uruguayan International has become a target for a host of European sides after falling down the pecking order at Estadio do Dragao. While Fucile was regular feature under the reign of Andre Villas-Boas, the new coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitor-c36281 Pereira has scarcely used his
talents this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danilo-c10159 and the Brazilian is expected to be a long-term
investment by the club.
FC Porto are also keen to add a new striker at the helm in the winter window but will need to generate funds in order bolster their front-line. The sale of Jorge Fucile could not only provide them with some much needed cash but also open up more space in
the team.
The 27-year-old has allegedly been sought by English giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, as Luis Suarez has convinced the Anfield hierarchy that his fellow countryman could be a great addition to the side.
Kenny Dalglish has also agreed to the reported transfer but the Dragons’ asking price of €20 million could prove to be too much for the Reds.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 have also joined the race to sign the former Liverpool-Montevideo man and are ready splash the cash in order to land their target.
Andre Villas-Boas worked with the player at Porto and knows that his versatility could come in very handy during the course of the campaign.
The current crop at Stamford Bridge have been in decline mostly due to age and the Portuguese tactician is keen to add more healthy competition to freshen things up.
While everything looks set for a move, it remains to be seen whether the Primeira Liga champions are willing to let go of their defender mid-way through the season.
Danilo although is an excellent signing, he may not be quite ready for the European game and should he struggle, Porto will not have any back-up options if they sell Jorge Fucile.
