FC Porto’s striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276, snubs transfer rumours to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur
The Colombian international, Radamel Falcao, has just announced an extension of his stay with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 for another season. This comes after top notch clubs from all over Europe ran in to make bids for him. Falcao signed this extension to snub all the transfer
rumours about him in the media.
According to media reports, Falcao has declared to spend another season with his beloved Portuguese club, Porto.
His decision came after clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich showed interest in signing him for the next season.
English outfits, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, have even presented bids for the Colombian but an official response from the Portuguese club, Porto, is still pending.
By the looks of it, the Portuguese outfit will respect Falcao’s decision to stay with the club for another season but an outrageously humongous bid could attract their attention.
The prolific striker told the media in a press release that he understood he had snubbed offers from top notch English Premier League clubs. Nonetheless, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/River-Plate-c40368 striker told that he was sure his decision to stay with the Portuguese champions
was the right one.
The 25-year-old has had an immaculate season which has seen the youngster score 16 League goals as well as a record breaking 17-goal haul in Europa League.
His efforts played a fundamental role in helping Porto win the Portuguese League and the Europa League title.
His deadly form has caused clubs to persistently ask for his availability in the market. A final answer from the club is expected on Monday but it is expected that Falcao will be returning to Estadio de Drago after the summer break.
While talking to the media, Falcao clarified, “I have two more years on my contract and I intend to see out my contract with Porto. I am happy with the club. The club want to keep me and I want to fulfil my dreams next year”.
Porto also won Primera Liga last season which manager, André Villas-Boas, has continued to achieve after his 2010 arrival.
Villas-Boas has shown great liking for Falcao. He too will be reluctant to part ways with him, especially after he hailed him as an integral part of his squad.
