<p style="text-align:justify">FC Rostov claimed a 3-1 win over FC Tom Tomsk at Olimp – 2,&nbsp;Rostov-on-Don, in the latest round of Russian Premier League. The Selmashi goalkeeper, Stipe Pletikosa, has admitted that Rostov’s confidence has been lifted by the home
win against the Serbians.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Pletikosa, who spent a season-long loan spell with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Rostov, revealed that the Rostov had a tough start to their league campaign but they have altered their results after winning back-to-back league
matches.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">With only a game left to play before the winter break, Rostov will host FC Amkar Perm in a crunch home tie. As things stand, Rostov are at the tenth spot on the league table.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Before the second round, analysts were expecting Rostov to fight for their survival in the Russian championship but Rostov managed to silence their critics after a flying start to the second round.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The Russian outfit have lost just two matches in last 11 league games, conceding 11 goals and scoring 13 themselves.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">“For the upcoming meeting, we are preparing in high spirits.&nbsp;We have won the last two games, which has given us a huge lift.&nbsp;We need to better Amkar before vacations.” The former Hajduk Split player was quoted as saying.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The Russian Football Union has introduced a third round in the league, which consists of two fixtures, despite knowing that extreme weather may ruin the pitches.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">However, the Croatian national is confident that the Selmashi can still prepare for the upcoming game in spite of the difficulties in conducting training sessions.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">“For three days we cannot conduct normal training, so we are limited to a normal war-up because the fields are not in the best condition. We hope that the weather condition will not stop us from winning though.” The 32-year-old
said.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">The former Spartak Moscow player urged the fans to support them against the Asians despite the climatic conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">“I think that every fan will have to be issued a medal for attending the upcoming match.” Pletikosa joked.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Pletikosa revealed that they are happy with their league progress and assured the fans of consistency when they take on Tomsk on the road.</p>
