FC Sochaux president http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-c4885 Lacombe satisfied with the club’s transfer handling – Ligue 1 news
President of Ligue 1 side FC Sochaux Montbéliard, Alexandre Lacombe has expressed his satisfaction at the club’s handling of its affairs in the recently concluded summer transfer window.
Sochaux turned into a fortress this summer as it repelled all attacks from other clubs that were chasing the likes of France international Marvin Martin, Algerian protégée http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryad-Boudebouz-c31970 and Kevin Anan.
While talking to daily football publication francefootball.com, the Sochaux supremo explained his management philosophy to the media. “I do not shake things just for the pleasure of shaking them. We are not under any sort of crisis so we do not need to sell
our best players,” the Les Lionceaux supremo said.
Ideye Brown was one of the most important Sochaux player who was sold to Ukrainian giants Dinamo Kyiv this summer. However, Lacombe stresses that Brown’s departure was inevitable as the player wanted to leave the club and the Ukrainian giants were willing
to meet Sochaux’s requirements for the player.
“We have to be consistent in our commitments. The sale of “Mev” was the best sale in the club’s history,” Lacombe said.
On the transfer speculation surrounding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 as one of the main reasons behind the midfielder’s decision
to extend his stay at the Stade Auguste Bonal.
“Martin had a contract and is agent also understood this. There were a few ups and downs that lasted for almost a week but Marvin was right. He signed a contract extension until June 2015,” the president happily boasted.
Lacombe commended Martin’s attitude throughout the summer transfer window and said that the youngster is fully committed to the club for now and is willing to give his best for Les Lionceaux. However, Lacombe admitted that if a club comes with the right
price, Martin would be allowed to leave in the next summer’s transfer window.
The recent policy adopted by the president is definitely a wise policy as Marvin Martin’s price is bound to get higher as he gains more experience and becomes a regular http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international. Furthermore, with France getting close to sealing a place in next
year European championships, Martin’s performances in Ukraine and Poland could also increase his valuation which would certainly help Sochaux a lot in terms of buying new players next summer.
