FC St. Pauli’s Bastian Oczipka delighted to back with Bayer Leverkusen – Bundesliga News

his stay at the club.
The German expressed his delight to be back with Leverkusen and seemed overjoyed at the prospect of playing in next year’s UEFA Champions League against some top names. He also congratulated the Werkself on having a decent enough season which saw them finish
second behind the winners, Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old unfortunately got injured during the campaign which made him to miss the latter stages of the competition. He has confirmed his recovery now and was jubilant to be back in training at the BayArena.
Oczipka further enthused, "I will definitely return to Leverkusen. Since my injury in the game at Borussia Dortmund, I've been rehabbing in order to restore my strength so I can be prepared to go at full throttle.”
He also revealed that he was left surprised at the type of farewell he got from St. Pauli fans. It was hard to believe for the youngster, the respect he earned in that short space of time.
The German concluded by saying, "The farewell before the Bayern [Munich] game was a great honour for me. To be adopted by the fans after such a short time here was a sign of great respect."
FC St. Pauli had a terrible 2010/11 campaign where they managed just eight wins from 34 matches. The ‘Pirates of the League’ have been relegated to 2. Bundesliga
